The WFC is a project of the municipality of Ede, the Province of Gelderland, Wageningen University & Research, the World Food Centers Foundation and WFC Development BV (a collaboration between Green Real Estate BV and Van Wijnen Groep NV).
The Experience developers of BRC work intensively with the participating companies on the concept. Including Albert Heijn, FrieslandCampina, Nestlé, DSM, KeyGene, and Scelta Mushrooms have already made an important contribution to the Masterplan for the Experience with their knowledge, expertise and experience in the field of nutrition.
In addition, the health sector, social organizations and educational institutions are also involved in the implementation of the WFC.
Foodvalley makes a significant contribution to the solution of global issues in the field of food. The aim is to come up with innovative solutions for healthy food and sustainable production, in which natural resources are optimally utilized and food security increases.
Foodvalley NL promotes (inter) national cooperation between companies, government, education and knowledge institutes for innovation in the agrifood sector worldwide. Connecting and sharing knowledge are the key words.
Region Foodvalley is a collaboration between regional authorities, entrepreneurs, educational and knowledge institutions to promote the business climate and make entrepreneurship, living, working and studying attractive.
Growing involvement of NGOs at WFC
The World Food Center sets itself the goal of telling both the national and the international food story. These are complex stories on which different perspectives are possible. To get a complete picture of the challenges and opportunities for feeding the world population and at the same time tell the story about the planet's capacity and biodiversity, it is important that civil society organizations are also involved in the WFC .
The WFC therefore actively seeks discussions with NGOs, non-governmental organizations.
In addition to good contacts with the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations (FAO), which was already involved in the development of the master plan of the experience, more and more NGOs are also asked for input and whether they are interested in their information in the WFC to validate and present.
Discussions have already been held or planned with major national and international organizations such as the Consumers Association, Animal Protection, World Wildlife Fund, National Action Plan for Fruit and Vegetable, Alliance for Child Marketing, Heart Foundation, Nutrition Lives, Arts & Nutrition, Foodhub, Nature & Environment, Solidaridad and Oxfam.
Other NGOs who would like to exchange ideas with us about the implementation of the WFC are most welcome.

Now that the final version of the master plan is ready, the World Food Center Experience is getting more and more shape. At the same time, it is becoming increasingly clear that the WFC offers an attractive environment for all agrifood-related companies that believe in innovation, cooperation, knowledge exchange and dialogue with consumers.
