Finding talent is a challenge
Talent is hard to come by in our tight labour market. Attracting and retaining talented employees will be one of the most significant challenges facing business in years to come. Thanks to the proximity of renowned training and research institutes, including Wageningen University and Research, businesses at the World Food Center can draw on a continuous supply of young talent and experienced professionals.
The region is home to more than 20,000 WO and HBO students and 85% of Dutch research capacity in agrifood is within a 30 km distance.
Wageningen University & Research is the foremost knowledge facility in the region and is known worldwide as the best university when it comes to agrifood. In addition, the area is home to countless HBO and MBO training opportunties in the field of agrifood – including at Christelijke Hogeschool Ede, Aeres Hogeschool (Wageningen), Hogeschool Arnhem-Nijmegen, the HAS (‘s-Hertogenbosch) and ROCA12 (Ede and Veenendaal).
