Establish for Startups and Scale-ups in Roots Innovation Hub

The Foodvalley region has a unique location for starting entrepreneurs. They can settle in two former barracks on the World Food Center site at very favorable conditions. The first companies have already been withdrawn. In total, more than 3,400 square meters of office and experimental space are available.

Roots offers space for startups and scale-ups that are active in agri and food, but also beyond. Its location next to Ede-Wageningen railway station, on the edge of the Veluwe and amid all activities on the World Food Center site, makes it an ideal location for starting entrepreneurs.

Buildings 85 & 86
The buildings are former barracks, which served as residential buildings for soldiers. The buildings will be demolished in time to make way for the WFC Hotel. Until then, the buildings are in use by start-ups and scale-ups. The costs are low and there is plenty of room to experiment. An ideal place to start and grow your business!

Spaces
The buildings are identical. You enter a central entrance area with staircase. From here you can go left and right to a corridor with 5 rooms and a toilet group. Each building has 40 rooms over 4 floors. The rooms are approximately 27 m2 net floor space, spacious enough for 4 desks. It is also possible to turn the room into a lab room or test kitchen or to use it as storage.
