July 13, debate in WFC: "How to proceed after the PAS?"

On Saturday, July 13, Foodlog is organizing a debate at the World Food Center in Ede (location Akoesticum) about the consequences of the PAS (Nitrogen Approach Program). Consequences for farmers, but also for biodiversity and food production. No doubt a lively debate! click here to register (free of charge!).

The Nitrogen Approach Program (PAS) had to curb nitrogen pollution in the Netherlands. For years, lawyers and action groups warned that the regulations that the Netherlands made up cannot be reconciled with European legislation. Recent the Council of State took a thick line through the PAS.

Why did the Dutch government and politics opt for that impassable path? How will these motives play a role again in the expected repairs to the legislation and regulations that will now take place shortly? Where will mistakes be made again?

On Saturday, July 13 next we will discuss those questions in a publicly available interview, organized by Foodlog. A number of connoisseurs will clarify the file and their current situation from their different perspectives.

Purpose: to inform politicians, press, officials and interested public in 2 hours about the ins & outs and do's & don'ts of the file. Entrance is free.
